GRANT ACTIVITY
Japanese Bead Embroidery (2008 Award of Legacy grant from The Embroiderer’s Guild of America, Inc., to study the art of embroidery and the preservation of the heritage of the art of embroidery.)

Digitization and indexing of Needle Arts, journal of The Embroiderer’s Guild of America, Inc. (proposed for Research Fellowship Grant for in-depth research in all areas of embroidery and allied textile arts, and to create a basis for dialogue between EGA and other grant and research institutions)

INSTRUCTIONAL EXPERIENCE
1990 to present: Teach own designs and those of others in embroidery and beading classes for The Embroiderer’s Guild of America at both the chapter (brief) and regional (multi-day) level.
1990 to 1998: Grades 1 through 8, all subject areas with an eclectic selection of curriculum, including unit study, self-paced workbooks, textbooks, and co-op classes with fellow home-school students. Students entered public school at honors-level classes.
